Hi, I'm Andrew.
Nearly 10 years ago I was selling apples at farmers markets when I decided to try to turn my creativity into something useful.
I started designing and printing socks from our small garage in Byron Bay.
One order became ten.
Ten became hundreds.
Today Mennie is stocked in stores across Australia and are worn by thousands of people who believe 'life is too short for bad socks'.
Every design still begins with the same goal:

'After years of seeing these cool socks all around Byron Bay where I live , I finally bought a pair. The red tailed black cockatoo ones!!! My favourite bird and are tattooed on my chest. All I can say is I wish a bought a pair sooner.!!! While I knew they would look sick pulled up high wearing my vans or Nikes and some shorts, what I didn’t know was how comfortable they are!!!!! The quality is so amazing and they are actually that perfect thickness between thin little shoe socks and thick boot socks. I had been struggling to find the right fitting socks for my dress boots, but I wore these with a pair of R.M. Williams and they fit perfectly!!! It was a wedding with lots of dancing, no sore feet!!! I’ll be heading to the Byron market to grab a few more pairs, I suggest YOU do the same. Love em' - Jesse
'Mennie is one of those rare brands that are hard to find these days. The quality is superb and the designs are unique. I recently ordered the hemp socks and the panel cap ahead of a trip overseas (postage was quick too). Again, both are great but the 'Banned from the Northern' cap design is awesome - been stopped a few times asking where I got it from - and does the job in the heat too as its super light weight. Recommend to anyone looking for brand that has a story to tell and is actually interesting!' - Ross
