Born in a garage in Byron Bay, Australia, Mennie emerged from a passion for creativity and expression.
Inspired by art, subcultures, and Bundjalung Country, we refuse to be pigeonholed as a skate/surf brand.
Instead, we are building an inclusive community of individuals united by a love for quality and style.

A LITTLE STORY
In late 2015, wanting to scratch the creative itch, and make something of our own, something different than T-shirts, we discovered that you can put artwork onto socks! After a lot of research and being told by every printing company in Australia that it was impossible, we borrowed some money, bought some equipment, and taught ourselves how to do it in our garage.
We would make the designs (paintings, drawings and photography), scribble out how we wanted them to look, send them to our designer friend Greg and he would turn them into usable files for us to print with.
Our first collection
Since then we have sweated out thousands of pairs of socks from that little garage, worked on collaborations with some amazing artists, musicians and photographers, gathered a rad little group of friends/ambassadors, designed and made over 60 designs, and loved every minute of it.
In 2020 we made the decision to outsource manufacturing, to raise the quality of our socks, and free up time to focus on designs and growing the brand.
We sell direct to our customers online and are also stocked in some of the finest stores around Australia, Japan and Ireland.

In 2023 we introduced our first hemp socks, made with a high grade blend of Certified Organic Hemp and Cotton. HIGH STANDARDS HEMP.
We now send all of our Australian orders with Mail Plus, using Biodegradable, 100% compostable bags. All orders are sent Express and orders over $100 are FREE!
